London Borough of Culture
Battersea Park in Concert was part of the London Borough of Culture 2025, a yearlong celebration of Wandsworth’s culture and heritage. Both this year and last year, we’ve provided 1,500 discounted concert tickets, made available to those on means-tested benefits and targeted concessions in Wandsworth, via the Council’s trailblazing Access for All scheme, ensuring that price is not a barrier to musical experience for local visitors.
We also welcomed 42 volunteers at Battersea Park in Concert as part of the Borough of Culture programme. Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the events diverse and activities across Wandsworth, helping to create something truly unforgettable. Volunteering at Battersea Park in Concert offered an opportunity to be part of a major live music event while giving back to the local community. From welcoming audiences, wayfinding, and assisting behind the scenes, volunteers helped ensure the concerts ran smoothly and that audiences had a memorable experience. Their time, energy, and enthusiasm contributed not only to the success of the event but also to strengthening community connections and pride. Our volunteers had meaningful way to celebrate local culture, meet new people, and make a tangible difference in their local community!
We’ve been shortlisted for the prestigious Sarah Nulty Community Impact Award at the UK Festival Awards 2025. This award acknowledges events that have gone above and beyond to create lasting community impacts outside of the festival's tenure. Vote for us below!
